Support weaponry. They're expected to have a larger ammo capacity. Besides, some people just like the looks, or function.

Yup, and one can practice reloading drills by putting pit stick (deodorant) on repeatedly. :D

Which is ironic because the Famas is a french gun :D

I agree, get an AR/AK drum mag and leave the extra 50lbs for some other sucker!

Sasha February 17th, 2011 18:52

I hate M4s but love M16s. Is that wierd?

I have no desire for an M4-length AR, but intend to add a full-length one to my family sooner or later. You are not alone.

But then, I like long guns.

Nope. I'm the same. Wait, that proves nothing..

Slono February 17th, 2011 21:54

Any single action revolver. I hate those things.

Shirley February 17th, 2011 21:58

An AEG,

chickenman February 19th, 2011 16:17

Uzi's and silenced super long M16's

redmond February 19th, 2011 19:01

Every single damn armalite.

swatt13 February 20th, 2011 02:19

ak's. sorry

Hux37 February 20th, 2011 04:27

I would never use an AK (real and airsoft feel so uncomfortable), and the Glocks. As stated before, don't like guns blowing up in my hands. But I do love my AUGs.

Redzephyr February 20th, 2011 04:34

AKs and Glocks blow up, now? I must be behind the times.

Sorry, had to say it... :P

I beg to differ I had a really shitty crapsoft toy gun that shoot bbs by wacking them with a spring. The trigger would also pull back the spring and release it making it a double action springer. Range and power was crap but it did come from a dollarstore.

cooney February 20th, 2011 04:37

P90s and souped up railed ARs and any 1911 based handgun except the colt 1911 single stack beauty.

KSKcarter February 20th, 2011 05:06

I refuse to use broken gun

AlLeBlanc February 20th, 2011 05:18

Hicapa, UZI, Thompson 1928.

PaddMadd February 20th, 2011 05:19

I hate using AK's. I don't know if it's because my first gun was an AR, but the AK platform is very uncomfortable. I do own one, but I barely use it due to how uncomfortable it is to shoulder.

I wouldn't go as far as saying I refuse to use one though, you never know when you might need to.

Same boat, You'd prebably be OK with an AK 74 or AKM type AK as their stocks are at much less of an angle, they are they only ones tht feel even remotely comfortable to me.

Anything Cooney owns or touches

Reckless February 20th, 2011 15:01

Ak's without an underfold stock, or an SVD stock

anything with exposed rail on the bottom of the handguard... I HATE holding onto rail

and personally extremely specific on the stock/grip combo on an Armalite, I generally just find them really uncomfortable

forestgreen February 20th, 2011 16:47

For Airsoft:

MG's/LMG's.
Sniper Rifles.
Revolvers.
Launchers of any sort.
Shot guns.

sirtaco27 February 20th, 2011 17:03

The AUG feels really weird and looks weird, hate the Famas, and sniper rifles. Its airsoft. Not RS. You'd just be better off getting a DMR. Half the cost and theres the option of full auto or taking off the scope for close up shooting.

six4 February 20th, 2011 17:14

Any and all pistols made by we

If it has a full auto feature, most events will not let you use it, unless it is shooting the same velocity of a AR, and if it is, well, whats the point?

WOOT!
I cant stand every1 that keeps saying "WE is teh gr8est gunz evar!"
I hate WE guns, i have 3 of them, one is broken beyond repair, one is working cause half the parts have been replaced with custom made replacements, and the other works cause its mostly a TM gun now, not much WE left, LOL, so i can add,

that I refuse to use any STOCK WE gun

sNAp_* February 20th, 2011 19:06

hi capas just cause of the little bit of mag sticking out of the bottom looks fugly as anything ever.

If it shoots as hard as a AR but 2x accurate then why not?

You can make any AR shoot the same accuracy as a DMR based gun. You aint thinking airsoft you're thinking RS.

h33t February 20th, 2011 20:29

If its for free, then it's for me.

If i have to choose to buy one with my own money, i wouldnt really pick up any WW2 guns except the 1911.

:^) February 21st, 2011 01:33

revolvers unless its a raging bull and i don't like the roundness of the Beretta m9

Kodemar February 24th, 2011 22:54

Bullpups, aside from the FAMAS. Not a fan of the mag behind the trigger.
M4/M16/AK-47 and all variants. Too common, I like weird/unique looking weapons, I'm a gun hipster :P
Deagle. Too bulky.
Colt 1911. Don't like the lower receiver not lining up with the slide, as such I <3 Infinity/Hi-Capas.

Of course, my pickiness applies only to Airsoft, for a real-steel combat situation, I'll take anything I can get and be damned happy I have it lol.

l85, M4 (except CQBR), M16, Uzi, Mac 10, Skorpion, Bolt Actions(especially TPG-1)

I mean I would use them a couple of times for fun, learn how to operate it, but afterward I'd sell it for a better gun.

A utilitarian uses whatever is available to him, and won't go "It's against my morals and religion to touch ____ gun." I'm one of them.

SteelToe March 1st, 2011 08:00

Clear or tinted pistols and rifles.

Shatter March 1st, 2011 12:32

Probably a MAC-10/UZI/similar guns.

They're fugly.

Haha I was actually thinking of saying that. A new one added to the list I can't stand Any stubby armalite. They look stupid and in real life are practically useless (ar pistols).

A very good point, to add to that, stockless guns really annoy me personally like the mpk5, skorpion, ak74u, acr's, g36s, etc with the stock folded. Reminds me of gay cod and lame hollywood movies.

It is got a stock, or can utalize a stock, use the damn thing

Cinco Boy March 2nd, 2011 01:50

G36K...rubbish!

Freeze March 2nd, 2011 06:56

I just hate the M16s.....i dont know why, maybe its cuz its just too mainstream...
I also hate the bullpup rifles....I just can't stand them

My gun of choice tho...would be the M416... -_-

M16 and M416 are so similar yet different....

+1 to that,

I hate when people are running around a big field with their stocks folded. Really pointless ... Stupid COD losers lol. The point of a folding stock is for storage, vehicle use, and really tight comfrontAtions. Any other time that stock should be tucked into your shoulder.

Oh another one lol.. And this one is directed to airsoft mainly ... Any armalite that has a full stock and a really short front end ... God they are ugly.

durak March 2nd, 2011 12:55

L85s, L86s, M24s, I find them awkward to use.
M134 (nothing about looks. too heavy and eats BBs).
Highcappas, too many fanboys.
226, M9, Comon.

yoyit2 March 5th, 2011 03:53

p90!! i cant think of one positive thing to say about 'em lol! definitely NO to shotties!

Glocks and M4 variant (except my M16 Vietnam, so beautiful).

M4 are freaking boring to look at, even with $1000 mod and accessories (flashlight, red-dot, launcher, toasters, etc...).

As for Glocks, pretty sure sling-shot hold nicer in hands than those, ah! ah!

Raskas March 5th, 2011 13:21

AR platform sights confuse me. Ak sights just seem more intuitive.

That being said "ergonomics" was probably a banned word in the Soviet Union, so it's kind of a toss-up.

For some strange reason though, bullpup rifles like L85s and AUGs, when I hold them, reload them, etc, they just feel "right", know what I mean? Where everyone tells you "they're a pain in the ass to reload, and all the weight's in the back" and you think "nah, that's alright, feels good man".

Does this make me weird?

Not at all, I feel the same way with my AUG...

Mind you I'm not sure if I qualify as "normal"...

That's why i didn't care to respond to this thread before your post.

Most everyone playing airsoft think they are specialist now that they handle toyguns...

I myself don't care; if my life was in danger; any gun would do. Even if it dont shoot... could still use it as a club...

njo March 5th, 2011 20:16

Hell, Ill take any gun for free, im not THAT dumb.

But I hate Tacticool AK's

And I love Glocks ("Real-Steel" and airsoft)

DoctorBadVibez March 5th, 2011 20:29

AK's, real steel and airsoft, they're GLORIOUS enough to make me want to buy a 100 atheist souls for a dollar each and trade em to the devil for one, BUT, the positioning of the barrel throws me off, therefore, not for me I guess... heck I'm weird, it must be ME....

Wolfgeorge March 27th, 2011 16:08

FN F2000.... Everytime I see it reminds me a boat!!!

George

Sursion March 27th, 2011 23:33

M4 and M16. That goes for real life too.

Ryan Smith March 28th, 2011 00:08

Anything that is not rea-cap. So i guess i just don't like mags that aren't real-caps.

I'll take you out with anything.

Alceister March 28th, 2011 00:32

I don't have a gun yet, but I absolutely refuse to buy anything that is clearsoft and don't really have any desire to go for a cansoft either.

As far as gun types go, I refuse to get a Desert Eagle, any over-stylized Hi-Capa, or Glock 17. The other Glocks I'm fine with.

I actually really like how my AUG handles too. I was expecting the worst before I got it, but I actually found that I can reload the gun just fine -- just as fast as I can with any pretty much any other weapon (that is, if you take your empty mag and put it in your dump pouch and then replace it -- not just dump the magazine on the ground, as you would with an M4 or something). The weight in the back makes the gun easier to shoulder and aim with too. So I don't really see where all the complaints are coming from.

As for looks, well, lets just say the AUG looks far better in person -- it's definitely not a gun that consistently photographs well. :P
