You MAY need a higher quality microswitch, but MOSFETs are primarily to get around the 400 year old throw switch triggers.

Easiest way to tell, if your switch burns out, it probably can't handle the wattage lol

If you're not going with crazy fps or rof, the stock micro switch should be good enough. Or if you're concern, do what TC suggested and upgrade to a better quality switch.

Is a MOSFET needed with the microswitch? There are no mechanical contacts to burn and the microswitch seems to easily handle the voltage.

A microswitch will burn with a 11.1V Lipo. Microswitches are mechanical contacts, it's sealed up and you can't see it.


The MOSFET reduces the high current to it for longer life especially with a 11.1V
