While I agree, to my defense it was my first gun, and I bought it so I could tear it apart and teach myself how to doctor guns. I know I could have bought a KWA M4 for the same I put into this gun, but I prefer knowing that I built my gear. :)

I was the same way. No worries.

Times have just granted me access to higher end stuff now, though.

I stopped counting.

Same here. It's better to stop thinking about that when you have spent close to the amount of a down payment for a house.

Especially since I'm in the market for a house and a baby. And I'm still looking at some new gear I might be buying in the next months.

I wonder how I will be able to afford a child and a house with that hobby drainning my funds.

Redneck Jimbo, if you've spent that much already, why don't you come play with us at the AC games? It's not like you need alot of gear and alot of guns for playing on a small paintball field so I'm confident you already have what's required: goggles + AEG + batt + mag. Last week there was new guys playing in jeans with borrowed guns. There's no point in waiting man. Next game is Dec 9th.

As to how much I've spent in airsoft shit, well I don't need to divulge that amount and I've never started counting anyways. Airsoft is something I love so the amount of money invested is of no concern to me.

The baby market is tough these days. I think they were going for $24/pound last time I checked.

Grats though.

Though generally speaking, this holds true for me also, I tend to keep track of my finances. Guess its a character I picked up being born year of the Dog.

Breakdown
AEG - $1k or close to it.
Sidearms - $600
Gear - $300

Ah ! true. I agree with that. It's something that we love so don't need regret when we paid for it. I always got a complain every time. I told them how much and time I spend on Airsoft. They always said that I'm crazy. huh ! I just said, that's just me. It's like you like car or any kind else, when you fall in it, you won't stop getting it. Is it true everyone ?

I honestly don't want to know. :(
