Wow, what a pile! I got a good set of Motorola HT2000's off of eBay for 50 bucks and they're fantastic, wouldn't replace them with anything.

Huang is a stand up guy. In all fairness he was probably duped by the manufacturer as well.

With a little web forum trolling I was able to pick up a super nice genuine Motorola Astro Saber R for under $200. The seller was more than happy to program the radio for the GMRS/FRS frequencies I wanted.

Cost a bit more to get batts and a charger, but damn is it bullet proof. Definitely the way to go over the clone stuff.
