As to modifications - I guess that would entail cutting out a chunk for the rear sight to fit into, right?

Yep. Do it right, or your rear sight will be wobbly.

finally decided to stipple my grip, so here it is:

PS:The grip feels grippy now... :P and its really easy to do...

PPS: Wear a mask when stippling a grip, the melting ABS plastic creates fumes, and thats not good for your brain cells....

PPPS: more pics in the "Stippling" and the "Amazing Race gun" threads:P

No, but you can ask IK to get you one.
You can also contact RedWolfAirsoft.com.

Are there any drawbacks to shortening a loading muzzle spring in order to make it fit better in my BBU? I accidentally pulled it a little too much, and I'm thinking of cutting a couple of coils off to make it fit properly again.

RacingManiac May 16th, 2010 09:26

shouldn't have any issue....

Thought so. Sweet, thanks.

Buy an Airsoft Surgeon pistol, and you'll get one. Their pistols come with these badges to prove authenticity, as there were claims of a couple of other manufacturers selling pistols under the Airsoft Surgeon name. If they were available for purchase on their own, that sort of defeats the purpose...

Can automotive engine oil be used as lubricate for areas like slide rails and hammer internals?

I'm just wondering, that's all.

ILLusion May 23rd, 2010 12:02

I'd never use oil for metal-on-metal contact areas where it needs to stick on. Oil will get everywhere and be really messy.

Using automotive oil will cause it to slowly creep up the side of your slide. Yumm... beautiful brown oil running up the side of your silver slide.

Stick with grease.

Yeah, I like to shim it with an o-ring to stop it.

There should already be an o-ring under there, but it tends to get flattened down. doesn't hurt to put another small one.

Gunny_McSmith May 23rd, 2010 13:29

mmm where could i find such a small oring...?
