Ive never bought anything from ares but this one seems pretty solid internally and externally, from what ive seen. Maybe i wait for short handgaurd. Ive also thought of maybe doing a "honeybadger like" build.

The reason why i like the honeybadger is becuz im a fan of the mp5sd and custom m4 builds. I was checking out this threadhttp://www.airsoftcanada.com/showthread.php?t=153698 some of them did some pretty cool builds.

Oh yeah, a MAT49 would really be great for Vietnam era games. Right now almost all Vietcongs run some sort of AK or an SVD.

Jo_Canadian December 27th, 2014 22:32

It looks like she started life as an AK, and then someone went ham sammich with a CNC machine.

But god damn would I buy one of those.

Jo_Canadian December 27th, 2014 22:35

well the gun actually started as Izhmash Saiga-12
The weapon was originally built by gunsmiths Larry Zanoff and the late Jim Boland for the film Showtime. It is capable of folding into compact form and still be fireable.
"Showtime Shotgun"

then turned into a Callahan Full-bore Auto-lock aka "Vera"

The actual Saiga 12 used as Vera w/ the original muzzle piece before being changed

Not a gun, but I would love to see a QUALITY replica on the market so I don't have to drop a couple K on a real steel version.
