im sure that wont be a problem as long as u stay in semi as my understanding is that there is semi and fa/rt modes.

From my experience shooting in full auto, there is no issue. You click the selector switch to full auto, pull the trigger and hey look! full auto shooting! To compare this response trigger to any you have shot previously in a paintball marker would not be a comparison. This is better. By far.

I am trying to get at least one for TAC14, but I have no idea if that will be able to happen or not. I will hopefully know more next week once all the Tippmann staff are home from Paintball Extravaganza.

Oh yes that would be awesome! Would love to see it then!

It's literally twice as cold were Wraith is, just saying. Lol

Not that we'd play airsoft in that.

I think that would be more of an internal parts test than a gas stability test. Lol

You guys win on the cold weather, I'll enjoy the 15° F we have.

The 4000 shots on a 68 cubic inch, 4500 psi tank is correct.

A note to everyone reading this thread: after a brief check I can confirm R&D Engineer appears to be the same gentlemen doing the presentation in the Tippmann video. So we have the privilege and opportunity of having someone from Tippmann answering our questions and eventually maybe even taking comments on the product -- something I know many have griped about not being able to do with the Asian manufacturers. So please play nice :)

And R&D Engineer, welcome to ASC.

hattrick February 28th, 2014 16:48

First of I'm going to second what drake said. Welcome to ASC mr.R&D

I think I speak for everyone when I say we are BEYOND thrilled to have you here.

Video of it firing, I don't see any evidence of blowback.

beta678 February 28th, 2014 17:29

That's disheartening, I think my PS3 controller has more "blowback/recoil" than the Tippmann.

Though seriously, that's not at all comparable the WE M4 CQB-R or any gas blowback GBBR I've seen at all. If anything it reminds me of the electric blowback M4's where the fake bolt moves back and forth. That being said, the video kinda sucks so I'll give it the benefit of the doubt for the moment.

R&D Engineer February 28th, 2014 19:11

You use the term gentleman loosely, but thank you for the welcome.

We gave the marketing people prototype 2 for the show, so we could continue to work on prototype 4. P4 is the one in the original video. P2 is the video of it shooting. We agreed with you that the recoil was not enough. We doubled the rear bolt weight and increased the force of the drive spring to increase recoil.

I have a poorly done video of P4 shooting on my phone. I'd be willing to send it to someone if they will post it here.

R.I.T.Z February 28th, 2014 19:13

After finding out that the internals are the proprietary parts I am interested in picking one of these up

If you don't mind me posting it here as an attachment (don't think you can embed videos) you can send it over to me. Pm'd email.

Also, I was wondering if the receiver will have trades and if so, what they are. The black and white video above looks like it has engraved trades but its kinda hard to make out.

btw, echoing everyone else but awesome to have you here.
