Recently painted my teammate Phil/EchoFourTwelve's "Stoner PTWK". Dare I say I think I did a better job on his than I did on mine. His will also have a PAQ-4 and InForce WML IR mounted this evening once I give it back to him.

I have been thinking of doing the hrydro dip of the a-tacs fg on my rifle. Just can't seem to find anyone in Canada that sells it.

Hey Jordan, nice shots. Like the burlap as a background

In order now:

Step 1 - Base coat of Krylon Camo Olive
Step 2 - Lay grass and brush stencils; dust sporadically with Krylon Camo Light Tan and Rustoleum Camo Light Army Green
Step 3 - Lay Canadian Forces laundry netting; dust sporadically with Krylon Camo Brown
Step 4 - ?
Step 5 - Profit

Super easy to do. The Krylon colors you can get at Walmart and the Rustoleum you can get at Home Depot. If you don't have a surplus of old CF laundry netting like I do then you can buy a box of Mandarin oranges and use the orange mesh that is usually in those boxes and similar citrus fruit packages.

I love Zack's paint jobs, as much as I hear the argument to not paint a rifle (resale value, personal tastes, blah, blah, blah) to me they look the part when painted.

Laundry nets do a much better job because the paint gets absorbed into the fabric. Orange nets I find fly away and are not thick enough to give the snake skin effect. Just some of my experience :)

This is very true. I even find with paper stencils that I have to mist them with paint or even water prior to laying them on the rifle to dust with paint or else the paper flies off on the first spray. These are things I learned through trial and error and much practice painting spare boneyard rifle furniture pieces. I would recommend doing the same if you want to paint your rifle. Better to practice on a spare $20 crane stock than your expensive rifle.

Going back to the point though: Considering how inexpensive laundry netting is, as it doesn't have to be CF stuff, it the better route. Can find it online for dirt cheap.
