Quick Update: great response so far and I'm looking forward to getting more. Posts will likely start getting removed as we compile a concrete list, so don't worry if your post here disappears. And, this should go without saying, but there's no reason to be bashing other gun docs here. Please refrain from doing so. This post will remain open for another six days, and we'll probably get Gun Doctor status activated on a number of members well before then.

Most of you have seen the big gun doctor listing in the Doctor's Corner forum (http://www.airsoftcanada.com/showthread.php?t=72809) but are probably aware that it's somewhat out of date. I'm going to use this as an opportunity to get a concrete list of reliable, professional gun doctors, and implement a new user tag so users can easily identify who they can trust.

If you consider yourself a gun doctor or are otherwise involved in gun work (painter, engraver, whatever), please make a post here in the following format:

We'll require a couple of respectable members in good standing to vouch for your work, so please request some of your clients to post an endorsement in this thread as well. Please refrain from PMs to me or other staff and keep the discussion in this thread.

There's no cost involved, we just want to make it easier for people to keep their equipment in top condition and have good gun doctors enjoying as much work as they can handle.

As mentioned earlier, gun doctors get a spiffy usertag to identify their competence everywhere on the forum, and we're also giving them an expanded PM inbox so they can handle communication more easily.

I'll vouch for WhiskeySix - excellent service, reliable, and honest. I have had several aegs fixed and maintained by him. Great for general rifle/pistol maintenance, modifications and updates.

WhiskeySix is a great gun tech. I have brought several AEG's and Snipers to either repair, upgrade or for routine maintenance and they have all come back in perfect working condition. I would not bring my airsoft guns to anyone else!

I'll gladly vouch for for Angelus Nex, he's fixed up my guns and more than one occasion and I've never had any problems. He's a solid gun doc and a solid person in general.

Whiskey-Six - Best Gun Doctor!
 

John is an excellent gun doctor. He has worked on my gun and I was very happy and satisfied with the results.

What I like about John is his drive to do the repair and/or upgrade correctly the first time. He even verifies FPS and BPS before and after major upgrades.

I also like that John is very knowledgable and works with other gun-doctors and part suppliers in North America to ensure that only the best and most reliable parts are used.

My gun is my baby and would only trust John to work on it. I would recommend giving him a try, if you can get scheduled. His busy repair schedule is a good indication that others trust him too!

I'll vouch for Manchovie. All my guns have gone through him and they've always come out purring. Been working with him since I started airsoft (look at my join date).

Also a great troubleshooter and has an awesome imagination for custom builds. He can talk you out of doing stupid shit to your stuff. He's done hundreds of guns and knows his stuff.

Lastly, he's a really friendly guy. Easy communication, always a good conversation to be had. Ask him about Polish food, I always get free perogies and soup!

Linh fixed my P90 problems completely even after it saw work from a couple other gun docs. 3rd vouch.

I'll vouch for Riley. Had my M14 looked at by two other people, they couldn't figure out what was wrong. Riley had it for a day and had a detailed list of what needed to be done with cost breakdown. Work was great, no issues since.

I gotta vouch for HKGhost I was having a hard time finding a doc and he jumped to the plate to tackle a nightmare job with retrofitting aftermarket parts into a strange make receiver. A+ comms the whole way through with updates, suggestions and prices. I'll make the hour trip to bring my guns to him every time.

I can vouch for Club Medd, he is one of the only 2 gun docs in st. catharines area id trust my gun in the hands off, the other being voodoopete. Club Medd and voodoopete has fixed every gun they've come across with proper respect and very reasonable time. No BS with these guys.
