King Arms Red Dot Reflex Sight (Replica Optima/Firepoint)
Looking for a Optima 2000 or Firepoint but can't find or afford one. King Arms has released a replica one http://kingarms.com/productpage.asp?prodid=491
Unfortunetly theres no trades on it. MRSP $52 US at War4 http://kingarms.com/productimages/ka-scope-10.jpg http://kingarms.com/productimages/ka-scope-10a.jpg http://kingarms.com/productimages/ka-scope-10b.jpg http://kingarms.com/productimages/ka-scope-10c.jpg http://kingarms.com/productimages/ka-scope-10d.jpg |
When're they going to make an Eotech replica, damnit.
|
I don't think they will release a EOTech it maybe also due to the actual cost or reproducing the holographic system cheaply its not as easy as just a laser pointer.
btw AFAIK "when're" isn't a proper contraction |
Similarity to the real thing doesn't stop them from making crappy ACOGs.
|
Haha, sometimes I type as I speak, no one really verbally says "When_are". As odp said, they made RDS ACOGs, they don't need to make it holographic as long as it is a red dot of some sort. People who want a real holographic system can buy the real deal.
|
Theres nothing special about acogs its just a maginifed scope. Now it they could put in working fiberoptic that would be something.
|
What kind off scope is that, i do mean the scope not the red-dot.
Does any one has an idea. -Cy |
I know this may be a stupid question, but what is that other part there. I've seen that before, but never seen what it actually does for the site. I'm talking about the other piece that has no lense.
|
It's a cover ! for the sight.
|
Ooooooooh, right, right. I'd have never thought of that.

There is no brightness adjustment knobs or switches, nor are there any power switches. It is turned off by attaching the cover, which shrouds the sensor completely. The real steel versions will never turn off. There will always be a very small amount of light output, but apparently, the amount of energy it draws is negligible. From the looks of the pictures, this replica also has a hole on the front where the sensor on the real steel is located. |
So, who'll bring these in?
|
i have one on the way. i tried to get more, but i emptied WGC's supply.
lol i'll see if i can hit up uncompany for some more. |
does anyone know if these will fit on to the replica g&p acogs?

I'm looking for one for my Marui MP7A1. I dont wish to install a huge RDS on a small gun as the MP7. Peace Out. |
As i understand they are meant to go on top of acogs. I would guess that if the replica is good that it should fit no prob.
Illusion want to do a quick test for us? |

If it does, you may need to retap some holes for it to fit flush, since that mount is designed to fit a Tasco/Optima/Firepoint/JPoint or whatever the heck its name is now. The screw placement on that unit is slightly forward of the Doctersight. That's why I pre-thought my ACOG purchase and got the one with the dummy RDS scope on it. ;) Quote:
The one that I brought in: 1) Had to be pointed it at an extremely bright light source first to turn it on, wtf? 2) Even still, it did not turn on all the time 3) The incremental stepping of the automatic brightness control sucked 4) An attempt to replace the battery was made... but lo and behold! One of the screw heads were stripped out of the box! Ask Phrozen about it. These were all his findings. He was the one who preordered it and I never really got to fondle it. I tried to, but figured that it didn't turn on because the battery wasn't installed. I would rather throw this POS into a blender, mix it with some strawberries and bananas and feed it to my REAL Doctersight. The super-pooper was that my supplier wasn't willing to take it back, since "that's how that product is." But other than that, if you can find a working version of this, then yes, you can get it to fit on an ACOG. It's a *fairly* close replica to the real Doctersight, although as I already mentioned, you may need to re-drill and re-tap some holes in the ACOG mount to get a good fit. |
