LEE ENFIELDS

Hi guys

I was looking around WGC shop and other sites and
couldn't find any lee enfields.Everyone is doing either
americans or germans, but no british or canadians.
So I thought I would give it a try for WWII setting.

Thanks

Is this a general comment bemoaning the lack of said enfields, or are you planning on producing a kit from scratch?

I do detect the moaning and a hidden question of "Do the even exist".

Well my searching has lead me on the forum, to real rifles and a
to the UK.Isn't the UK not importing or exporting airsoft??.
I think I read that some where. As for making one?,I would
have to use a k98 as a base with lee enfield wood parts.
That is a bigger project then I want right now.

diamond_SEA November 24th, 2007 17:12

Patience is invaluable in canadian airsoft.... nothing is fast, especially when you want something specially imported, expect 1 month minimum

Double Tapper November 24th, 2007 17:24

I have Two real lee enfields I can use to copy from,
the jungle carbine and the sporterized one. But no
full wood No.4 MkI .

Krieg November 24th, 2007 17:26

I believe KTW used to make one for a huge pricetag.

Donster November 24th, 2007 17:42

they wouldn't be hard to make. i just dont think there is enough demand for them or else we would have seen them more readily available. i can easily see tanaka doing one with a detachable 10 round gas-filled mag and of course marushin would always make their 8mm version.

Sergeantmajor November 24th, 2007 17:46

you can always use a Garand. they were used by canadians and british in limited numbers. but we had 'em.

Double Tapper November 24th, 2007 17:49

I am trying to stay as close to standard issue as possible.

jonney. November 24th, 2007 20:34

Just convert one of your real steels if you are willing to and you have the know how.

Goodl2ussian November 24th, 2007 20:48

you can convert an M14 into one i saw a guide somewhere on here i think?

And a canadian invented the garand :D.

Double Tapper November 24th, 2007 20:53

I was thinking maybe the M1 jungle carbine with a shorter mag and trimed stock,
some close to enfield bolt action rifle inserted.

That is not legal.

And as much as I would also like a Lee Enfield in Airsoft, I will have to wait until someone can legally build it and market it.

Double Tapper November 24th, 2007 20:58

I didn't want to do that anyways.I like my lee's to much to butcher them.

Greylocks November 24th, 2007 21:03

Agreed, never butcher a good gun. It's the bad advice that was given to you that I had to correct. (Unless you are a licensed gunsmith, and even then).

As for getting Lee Enfield parts, it's not hard at all. You can get anything you want except the receiver. Just have to shop in the right places.

Double Tapper November 24th, 2007 21:12

Well making one is alot cheaper then paying 960 british pounds.Thats
about 2000$ cdn.And that is without shipping and custom seizer.

that is so true. its sad we didn't get any credit...he left canada and went to the states...did you know the Patton once said that the Garand was the greatest battle rifle?:D

Crunchmeister November 25th, 2007 02:27

A Lee Enfield would be cool. I have a real 1917 No.3 Mk I that was unfortunately 'sporterized' by my grandfather back in the 20s by removing the "extra wood". I'd love to have an airsoft version of the original military version with all the wood intact.
