it's been almost an month i try to get some one in my city to vertify my age but no one replys(2 contacts in ottawa) and i sent a mail to GM here but still no reply! i live in ottawa and i am 26 ! can anyone help me to get some one to contact me so i can be able to vertify my age?:banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

I have the same problem, but here in Vancouver.
I've messaged all the reps but they have not responded to my PM.

They volunteer their time to do this. It's not a job to them, they don't get paid. If they have life that gets in the way of them getting to you, then life will get in the way and come first.

Head to a game, that's the best place to get verified.

ASC doesn't list you as an age verifier. Is their page out of date then?

Cant get an AEG in canada now with out being age verified.

I guess you can waste your time and gas and drive to a game with no gun and have someone probably younger than you ID you.

Hurray fireman, my eyes are finally opened. On behalf of all Canadian airsofters, we admit that age verification is totally un-awesome, and airsoft is dead. Thank you, I now have hope to carry on with a normal life. We bow to you, to were right all along.

What do you think you know, smart guy? Honestly, if you don't have the patience to get age-verified and be understanding of its necessity in our country, you don't have the patience to play airsoft. Go play paintball and save us your whining.

It scares me to see that you guys are deemed "age verified" and allowed to buy an AEG. I feel like a the short bus dropped off a load at the ASC board ....but this is nothing new eh boys? Its sort of on going piss fest here.

The age-verification is done by volunteers who don't necessarily live on these forums. The system isn't perfect, that's for sure. It can be slow, but it does work. And its intended purpose is not to be able to get someone a gun. It's to make sure that kids don't get their hands on guns. And in that respect, it works. It's unfortunate that the list of verifiers is out of date and that response times are slow. It can be quite frustrating for sure

I hate to bust the news to you, but ASC is the ONLY reason you can still get a non-clear gun in Canada unless you stumble into a private deal with some random person. ASC is not responsible for the sales. They just make sure that kids can't get into the system, and having a record of who is who helps cut down on fraud. If you have alternatives, then by all means, use them. But right now, this is the only game in town. Pardon me, the only game in the COUNTRY.

Good job at getting your foot in the door with ASC, this is a small community, a lot of people in it will be reading your responces.

Got some authority issues? There's something wrong with someone younger than you age verifying you? And, just so you know, if you really want you could probably arrange to have someone rent you a gun for that game.

And to go one further, it is an awesome system. It is a volunteer run system, by a well regulated community of people with a common interest, done on a national scale. And there is no cost to the end user. Seen what is costs to join a hockey association lately? Actually if you took a moment to think about it, you'd realize it is absolutely awesome.

What I get from your posts, is some sort of strange sense of entitlement, which really doesn't fit in here, or in the real world. Maybe you'd like the grocer or call dealer to drive by your house so you can select which brand of bread you want or which care to buy? Maybe we can peel your grapes for you too.

Yeah, no shit. It's quite a sticker shock when people find this forum after browsing foreign airsoft sites and expect those kinds of prices here...

Please fill out your profile. It is easier to AV someone with a filled out profile. It makes it easier to send you a message to AV you if I know where you live. I drive hours to AV people. The easier way si still a agime or a meet and greet that happens. I host 3 a year and I get about 4 people to AV at them. I AV many more at fields. I would recomend stating you are going to a match and wish to be AV'ed. That goes a long way to inform the verifiers you are going to need services. I wish I knew where you were to help you more.

It's true. Fireman, I hope you're able to get verified and have a positive airsoft experience. Some of these guys are a little bit nicer, and they'll be happy to ignore your attitude and snide comments on the entire ASC community. I just hope you're as far away from BC as possible.
