the ICS l85 - What barrel does it take?
 

I think its a 490mm-510mm ish? thats a guess but I would really like to know the actual as well as suggestions for 6.01mm barrels that are possible options- links would help, even from US places as I can take them through customs(as far as I know)

Apparently none. The ICS L85 has a proprietary hop-up system, and thus a non-standard barrel.

No avaliable upgrades yet for the ICS L85... and it uses a large connector.

nothing, like I can't upgrade anything? Speaking internal wise

I have an ICS L85 too and tried to put a Prom inner TB in there and Not a sausage won't work no way no how

Learn to love the inner you have or sell the gun..

Havn't purchased yet, researching :)

ICS in their infinite wisdom decided to make the L85 with a different barrel to everything else.

since then they have changed the design and now use the same as the the others.

the 2 plastic clips are all that you need to convert it to be able to use a precision barrel.

if you find someone who has these two plastic clips you can upgrade to anything. i got mine from my usual ICS supplier in the UK for £6

the length is slightly smaller to the M16 so if you go for that one and just cut the end off.

also that "precision tube" they have on their website is a standard barrel at 6.08

I have heard madbull will fit in the hop up unit but Promethisus will not fit in the hop unit

it all depends when you baught your L85.

i dont know when they changed it but if you got an old barrel then you will need 2 new plastic clips to make the precision barrels fit.

i have done this to mine and with the 2 new clips it fits perfectly in the old hop.

madbull, Promethisus and systema are all the same so will all fit into the right clips.

the M16 barrel is slightly longer than the L85 barrel but it still fits OK without cutting it down and the barrel cannot be seen through the flash hider.

if you were lucky enaugh to get a new L85 then all the new barrels should fit without any changes
