I had a idea. If i where to take a r.c helicopter a good one not a crap radio shack one put a small web cam and usb transmitter for video and old speed loader with something to open the feeder on it and a tornado impact gernade with another release on it to drop the grenade. Its only in the theroy stage but i drew a crude diagram. If it is battle ready further work will go in to it if not well i had anonther idea what uses a ebb pistol.

From what people have stated before when trying to us RC in airsoft, is that they spent moe time piloting the thing instead of playing.

Hey man, if you enjoy doing it don't let anyone else tell you that you won't like it. Let us know how it turns out.

RC helicopters cant take alot of weight they only really generate enough lift to get themselfs of the ground but depends on what you buy of course...

now that is some expensive shit

Dart July 24th, 2010 16:31

not to mention anything large in a copter should not be flown around people by a amateur. A large rotor chopper can do serious damage if lost control of. I have been working on a air craft that has a bomb door that drops BB's. Rule at the field is not allowed to be shot at if it gets brought out. It has never been used though because of issues with runways and runtimes.

BTW a small scale copter can only lift about 4 ounces. you would have to go to something about a 50 size to get the kind of lift you need... youtube it and tell me honestly if you want to risk that being flown around people. Also .... you think airsoft is expensive.... RC aircraft makes airsoft look like super cheap lol.

Wow!

I just want that Pred... soo nice kit for that price! Dirt cheap.

Also, RC helis have about 5:1 power ratio... the good ones can lift almost 5 times their weight. A very basic 450 class electric heli can lift 2-3 tornados + a remote camera and head tracking system (there are some that just require you to add a camera sold for about 200$).

You can also add a co-pilot system, with altimeter, 3-axis accelerometer, gyros and GPS. A no brainer can fly it... and it hold position with the GPS...

Edit:

My heli could lift a bunch of stuff... but having it shot is not in my plans:

If you budget is under 500$, go with a foam plane such as that:

With a bit of modifications, one like that can carry a tornado or a little bag of BB quite easy.

iballBRODY July 24th, 2010 17:14

wont the grenade smokes someone in the head?

outlander94 July 24th, 2010 17:26

aslong as i balance it well i should be able to get 2 or three tornados on it plus it can make a good scout and if any one shoots it they should be ready to get three mac 11 mags straight to the nads
