PTW M16A3 stock mod
any suggestions about modding the stock to an adjustable one and still retain the battery in the rear.
I'm no techy when it comes to this kinda stuff. All suggestions welcome. |
If you are talking about about installing your run of the mill collapsible AR stock, it is no problem. You remove the full stock, remove the stock adapter and install the buffer tube, receiver extension and tube nut. The only difference between an M4 EL-003 switch board and the M16 version is the mototr wiring and control cable is longer on the M16 and the battery connection is shorter than the M4 version. The M4 has a long, coily battery cable to allow it to retract into the buffer tube when the stock is fully collapsed.
You may have to disconnect the EL-003 board and run it through the buffer openning, as with the M16 it runs through the receiver extension "hole". It is best to disconnect from the motor and EL-001 main board at the front of the gun. Any decent PTW tech can do it, it's no sweat. There are other issues to consider if you want to do LiPo in the buffer tube, or if you want a UBR on that gun for example. |
I can give you a hand if you want it....I'd rather help out than see a PTW mangled (by accident of course).
I don't have tons of spare parts on hand but can get you pointed in the right directions and you can see how things are put together. and 30min in person is worth about a thousand posts/PMs back and forth Tys |
Cool, thanks, I`ll try to come down to TTAC3 tonight, its been like 2 years since I`ve been.
