Dan Wesson 6 inch.
Just ordered a dan wesson 6 inch, and from what i've read it will likely be hot out of the box, just looking for info on what i'll need to reduce that and if its too difficult for a noob, a doctor within an hour or so from brantford.

The one piece that the main spring and spring guide rest on/go into just needs to be shortened about 2-3mm. Put it in a vise, mark 2-3mm with a permanent marker then proceed to file the fuck out of it. That should get you between 350 and 380 and give you far better gas mileage if your still to hot, file off about 1/2 mm at a time between testing till you're good.

Strange... differents retailer have these and their claims on the product differ... Some, including ASG (seems the one who make the gun) effectively tell us that these cartridges reduce the velocity for 50%... others, like AirsoftQC say minus 30-40 FPS (and I know theses guys usualy test their products). And a 450 (still acording to ASG) fps halved mean a weak 225 fps... |

I don't game mine,but it shoot's 524fps. No intention to mod it either ;)

The insides are infact slightly different as I have modded mine to shoot at 330fps with $2 worth of parts from Canadian tire. Just remove the metal box put in two brass nuts and 1 brass washer. Done. Quote:

Well I was talking more about the fact that he wants something probably that doesn't ruin the stock parts.
No cutting metal involved if you just stick in a few nuts and a washer rather then cutting your box, getting a screw and fiddling with it forever. |
here's a video of the same mod too:
