Elcans
Hey all,
I'm looking for a elcan (not the specter ones, the traditional rubber sleeve ones) that has good eye relief and favorable comments. The issue I am having is I'm looking for one that has a reticule that is similar to: http://media.midwayusa.com/productim...airreticle.jpg And not the silly three lined ones that are so popular in replicas. Does anyone know of a elcan scope like this (and not real steel, I'm looking to spend LESS then 200 bucks) |
Seeing as that is not even what the real ones use, you are unlikely to find it.
The 3 post ones are actually fairly close to the RS counterpart. http://ext.pimg.tw/nekosp/1201211267.jpg |

I have this scope and am very happy with it. Having had much experience with the real ELCAN C79, I can say it is a very good replica. The build quality is very high (has taken a bit of punishment in a winter environment and come out fine). The scale is 1:1 with the real thing. It even has the proper diamond tightening knobs, not round like in the picture (I ordered from airsoft depot, don't know why he uses that picture). Eye relief and optical quality/clarity is superb. The only problem is the reticle is this: http://sniperready.com/313-925-thick...-inch-tube.jpg Where the real thing had the reticle CobraJr posted. It's close, but if you've got alot of time using a C79 it still kind of irks you. Not sure why the manufacturer would put so much effort into creating such a good scope, then completely overlook the reticle design. To my knowledge, nobody manufacturers an Elcan in the C79 style (Spectre OS3.4x) with a reticle approaching what you're describing. Kinda sounds like you want your cake and to eat it too. Buy the scope I linked and be happy with it! I promise you it's a very good value for the money. |

I've never seen that particular reticle in the Op, but I belive the Americans run a different reticle than us on the Elcans they use as machine gun optics.
|
the american version is probably a big circular reticle lol
|
The american Elcan is not the C79 like the Canadian: it's the M145C.

Well Im just looking for an Elcan like this: http://airsoftdepot.ca/catalog/produ...oducts_id=1200
That has a bit more sophisticated reticule system then three posts. |
I want one that transforms into a robot.

They do exist guys. I'm just looking for one that come's recommended. |
Then get that one?
Why do you want a reticle that was designed for use with the trajectory of live ammo, the marking have 0 bearing for airsoft. |
You might want to check with a G&G reseller and inquire about Model No : G-12-024.
It's the Elcan that is on the G&G C7. There's a black and a green version and they can be sold separately. These guys would probably answer you: http://canadianairsoftimports.com/ |
I hear the Elcan that comes with the G&G C7 has very poor eye relief
|
The one McKee posted is, as he says, fantastic.
I usually run my real one simply for use as a magnifies lense, but I did own the same one as McKee and would recommend it, no hesitation. It's a tough clone and won't cause you any bother unless you're familiar with the real C79's reticle. |
