Lubrication of KJW KP-05
 

I have put 400 shots thru my KP-05 and although the dealer showed me how to
grease the slide, I forget what is required to lub the O rings. I think he said pull
the spring back a little ( after removing slide) and one drop silicone in front . I assume this is additional to a drop of silicone oil on the tip of the CO2.
I have watched several videos and have not seen the specific area treated.
The manual says nothing about maintenance.Could someone explain where
silicone oil should be placed , how often or refer me to a video showing this? Thanks!

In the blow back unit. The black bit that feeds the bb and has a square/rectangle hole in it. You can pull it forward and sill see there is a piston with an oring. Put a drop or two of oil in there and move it back n forth a little.

Silicone oil is great for any seals. But, your slides rub metal on metal which silicone can not reduce wear. I use either SuperLube grease and sometimes SuperLube oil on the metal slide surfaces.

I will be using grease for the slide but need clarify exactly where a little silicone
oil needs to be applied and how often without a full take down.
Used only indoors so no dust ,weather conditions.

I have never manually put silicone into the guns internals or the piston.

I put a few drops of silicone into the propane tank valve before I fill my mags. This way the mags contain silicone oil. As the mags are used up, silicone oil is distributed into the guns internals naturally.

I just finished a 50 shot session ( 25 per CO2 cartridge). I put a drop of
silicone oil on tip of each cartridge.I noticed some wetness on top and right
side of slide which must be silicone. Is this a sign of too much silicone or a problem?
I am more familiar with pellet shooters so I may be in the 'newbie tank' for a while.I just want to ensure that I understand the maintenance issues for airsoft.
Being a senior with limited skills is another factor.
