Madbull KAC QDC Suppressor (foam filled?)
 

Many websites list this suppressor as "foam filled", but many review videos say that it's "solid" to make it US legal. Does anyone know the truth of this personally?

I do. It's nice, but also heavy as fuck to the point that it's not worthwhile.

The US version, to comply with the "barrel extension" requirement - is solid all the way through and acts more like an amplifier than a suppressor. The "everywhere else" version has foam.

I bought the stubbier version, with the dark grey finish, off asiaairsoft and mine has foam inside. It was delivered to me about a month or so ago.

Edit: Shit I realized mine is not Madbull, but ARMY FORCE. It's really nice though.

There are 2 versions made by Mad Bull, the foam filled one which is what's sold in Asia, Canada , and Europe and there's the US-market version which is solid to comply with US import restrictions.

The version I carry is foam filled.

Here's another question. It's diameter is listed as 43mm. Is that the body or the release collar? If it is the body, what is the diameter of the release collar? I'm trying to build a platform and need to make sure the parts won't interfere, etc.

43mm is the diameter of the collar. The diameter of the actual silencer is 35mm.

don't mean to beat a dead horse, but the one that you had, I suppose it had foam as it was in Canada. how heavy was that?

I plan on adding some filler material to replace the foam so that it can be even heavier (lolz), unless the US solid version is heavier than the foam version.
