Cyclone/Burst XL rig
Howdy folks. I just want to share my latest build. It's a dropleg rig specifically designed to carry Cyclones and Burst XL grenades (and Thunder B's too:))
I made the flap adjustable to accommodate various types of grenades or distraction device. buckle type closure for silent operation. Specifications: - 1000D Genuine Cordura - Mil-spec Binding tape - Mil-spec Thread (10.5 lbs tensile strength) - Mil-spec Bungee/shock cord - Mil-spec Non-rust drain grommets - Nylon webbing - Nylon/Acetyl Hardware (100 lbs Breaking strength) - Genuine Velcro hook and loop - 1/8" Landau foam - Base pouch is triple layered with cordura http://i.imgur.com/d5Vwd2Xl.jpg http://i.imgur.com/AJ6m8ajl.jpg http://i.imgur.com/sGhcWuzl.jpg http://i.imgur.com/2TdRkBhl.jpg |
I would like to add that the body diameter of the new Cyclones and Bursts XL is around 40mm. "EDIT: 38.64mm Measured on November 12th 2017"
Thus you can fit it into plastic moll-e clips, like these for 8-12$ each. https://scontent.fybz1-1.fna.fbcdn.n...e4&oe=5A0B3724 https://scontent.fybz1-1.fna.fbcdn.n...ef&oe=5A0A3E5C https://scontent.fybz1-1.fna.fbcdn.n...c3&oe=5A0B3745 On the back of the clips is a small hole drilled for placing para core or small braided string. I suggest tying the pin and spoon to the same line, so that as you pull a nade out, the pin and spoon disconnect. So it's ready to be thrown. This also keeps your spoon and pin on your person so you don't have to go looking for them. |
