:shock: Yikes thats one crazy gun, and that ammo! If i remember correctly it reminds me of one of those rail guns i saw in Robocop. :kill:

I think those 'railguns' were RT-20s but i'm not sure cause i forget. That gun is a Barret M82A1. Shoots .50 BMG rounds and used for anti-material purposes though you could use it for anti-personel but that's just inhumane. Strong enough to shoot THROUGH the engine block of a vehicle.

0.50cal round generates about 12,000 foot pounds of energy at the muzzle. You can supposedely disable a tank with that round, if you took out the tracks. (Water will absorb the energy a LOT, is why not much water penetration.)

Was wondering what was being shot in that video, seen it a few dozen times over the year, looked like 2 out of 3 of the targets were big peices of vegtation, but the last one is obviously a mountain goat since it moves before the shot.

Thats because the projectile is fired at supersonic speed and is destroyed in 3 inches but removes about 12 liters of water. Myth Busters rule.
