Direct line field phone
 

Was looking for a field phone. Something that makes you lay down the wire.
Going to use it in certain senerio games and such.

Any experience with field phones?

They are not exactly a hot topic around here, I already did a search on asc but came up with squat.

Try the TA 312/PT phones I have 4 of these, and they work great.
Payed like 30 bucks each a few years ago.
Easy to run and hook up use any 2 wire cord, power 2 D batt.
Try a ebay search thats where I got mine from.

i know that the crank dynamo generates some pretty high voltages. you can use elc wire which is easy enough to come by on metal spools. if i remember only 2 conductors are needed.

US TA-1 field phones don't need battery as they are sound powered & work anywhere. Hook them up to some tel wires & you have 2-way secure commo for a 5 miles radius. Perfect for command centre, mortar pit or static sentry post. TA 312s are also great as torture device. Hook the wires up to your enemy’s balls, crank the phone ringer & you’ll get an instant confession on anything you want to know from your prisoner.
