Airsoft through gun shops?
I was wondering:
Would a local gun retailer consider ordering airsoft? Has anyone tried this method? Do you think it would work or do you need a different license for airsoft than regular guns? |
Generally speaking, real steelers hate airsoft.
Would you go to a car dealership to buy a toy car? |
this has been asked before, can't remember the details but the bottom line is it wont happen, ever.
|
In that case, does anyone know a Canadian retailer that isn't afraid of KWC? BuyAirsoft.ca only carries a limited selection and 007 airsoft (once they get rollin' again) "don't deal with KWC anymore".
|
KWC is junk. Lower line from the same guys who brought us WE.
|
What exactly are you looking for from KWC?
|
If you want to know wether this option was tried, it was. But beleive it or not, the importation permits for airsoft (replicas) are not the same as for real guns.
So gunsmiths wont do it. Or not for civilians. |
Thats poor.
BTW, anyone ordered off Airsplat? I know its outside Canada but i just want to know if their "customs letter" malarkey is all its cracked up to be. |
how does that go exactly, 'dear customs, this is a box of guns, no peeking, let this box past your border, singned airsplats mommy' ?

I seriously doubt it would keep it form getting seized, but if it works.... It is a letter detailing the contents, i assume specifying that it is simply a toy and so on. |
all rights released
plus if they takes springs i guess they takes springs wrapped in guns |

Problem with importing airsoft into Canada is not that customs doesn't realize that airsoft guns are "toys". Problem is that you're not allowed to import things that resemble real guns to the point of fulfilling the replica firearms definition, which the vast majority of non-clear airsoft do. |
