stay away
you'll never get what you want and you'll be lucky if you even get a refund from them.

Ronan July 26th, 2007 21:24

He also linked that in one of my threads. Why the negative post Yeoman, what happen?

Its my understanding that the owner of ICETac has sort of fallen off the earth. Though the kit they make is apparently top notch, they are becoming very, very unreliable.

interesting i have been talking to the guy and he stats there will be vests available in the next two weeks he has sent me pics of the show vest but i cant resize them to upload here, i offered to pay for the vest in advance and he said to wait until the vest's arrive. as for warranty Ihave not yet talked to him about that. could you let us in on your experience.

Goldman July 26th, 2007 21:45

Is he local to you? Lots of folks on the wannabe.co.uk boards aren't too thrilled with them right now.

oicurpn July 26th, 2007 22:03

Yeoman July 27th, 2007 06:27

there's several websites where guys have been literally waiting for over a year, some even longer to get stuff from him.
they'd be sending several e-mails/phone calls a week and getting no returns after they had purchased something.
him talking to you before and once the purchase has been made is no problem. but once he's got the money, it's like he disappears.

Hi!
I do have an ICE Hard Shell Jacket in a customized version and I really like it. It even outperforms my Arc'teryx Theta AR. Hobey's hood design is perfect and BHA's eVENT fabric rocks!!! I can thoroughly recommend it. :)
However, the quality of ICE's clothing is indeed far better than their email policy ... :( I would do business with ICE again any time, if they answered my emails ...
Cheers,

The ICE hard shell looks like a great alternative to the Arcteryx LEAF Alpha Jacket. How long was the wait time? Is worth the grief :D ? I'll try to check out their Burnaby location when I go home next month.

mark23 July 28th, 2007 17:36

Back then in December 2005 I had to wait plain three months. :D
Yes, the wait is worth the grief. Definitely. :D

Cheers,
