TM VSR-10 G-SPEC vs. Maruzen APS-2 L96
I'm considering to buy my first bolt action rifle in the next few months and I was considering either one of these to be it. I have no idea which one is better since AEG's are my speciality not BA's, could some one help me with my situation?

ive held and shot the maruzen one. really nice. i believe Colin_S has one. ask him. between the two, i would take the L96, but thats only cause i like the look of it so much.
|
thanks i'll ask him

The vsr has one of the best hopups available. If you want to know how good the tm vsr is ask berkut he has my old one.

I have a USR11, the TM VSR10 clone, I can't say I have any complaints.
Damn sight cheaper too. Yorkie. |
bolt action is kind of useless at XT is it not?
|
Theyre on the same level pretty much. Just decide which looks better and get it a new spring.

You'd have to play outside if you wanted to use a bolt action...
Well, You wouldn't HAVE to... |
yeah theres no need for a bolt action when you dont play out doors lol

i've been wanting a bolt action for over 3.5 yrs but i seem to never follow through on my goal until now

G-spec is a great gun. Pulled out of the box i was able to hit a 3" diameter cloth line pole 75' away. with no scope or sights.

I've used my APS L96 in a game, but I've never used a VSR in a game. So basically - I can't really give you a decent comparison, but I've been very, VERY pleased with my L96. I've hit targets 30-40 meters away without having the time to properly get it sighted in, tweak the hop-up and get used to the flight path etc.
The hop-up on the L96 can give you troubles. Before I got mine, in my research I'd heard of many people experiencing the hop-up loosening up on them during a game after only a couple shots. There's a couple after-market hop-ups you can get, but I just used an allan key cut to the right size and tape, and turned it into a 'fixed' hop-up. |

I use CA M24 and Maruzen APS Type 96. Both are upgraded with PSS and PDI parts.
