Confirmed The VFC HK416 is no more!

I just received a reply email from VFC.

Dear Sir,

Due to Umarex getting the HK license, we are stopping to make the HK416.

Wish you understand that.

Best Regards,

Kyou

So if you want one of these master pieces crafted in Billet Aluminum get now.

Lakonian March 24th, 2008 11:34

spl01t77 March 24th, 2008 12:10

buy em while you can, lol I have two on order :P

Crunchmeister March 24th, 2008 12:27

Umarex make excellent pellet guns, but seems that what they have available for "soft air" is just total low end stuff.

Mr Jon March 24th, 2008 12:28

God damnit, no hopes of an HK417 or AG416... this truely is terrible

PaCHeKo! March 24th, 2008 12:33

Damn... that sucks... my ultimate "too pricey for me" airsoft gun will no longer exist. :(

Qlong March 24th, 2008 12:51

Umarex = Crossman?

Sergeantmajor March 24th, 2008 12:54

I'm not sure if they are or not. My Umarex pellet guns are all made in Japan. None of my Crosman guns have any markings indicating the country of manufacture.

I've wondered about that. JG usually don't have trademarks on their guns. The 416 is the only one one I've seen to date that has full trades. Whether they're licensed to do it or not is another issue. We all know how well copyright and trademark laws are respected in China.

Mine gets heavy usage so I thinking about getting another one and just keeping it in pristine unused condition for collection sakes.

Danke March 24th, 2008 13:36

Umarex seems to be taking the route of going after the folks selling the unauthorized copies vs. those building them. In Europe it seems they have the full support of the police anti-counterfeiting programs. Not many dealers will want to deal with seizures or lawsuits so they simply won't place orders.

Canada's a wee bit different of course, but if no one worldwide is ordering a model then the factory will drop it from production.

I have a VFC 416 on order with 007. It is supposed to be here at the end of the month. I can't wait until it is safely in my hands. I might be able to sleep at night again. I might have to buy a Jg as well. Not sure if I will be able to bring myself to use my VFC. Crazy isn't it.
