G36 selector's click sound

To G36 owners: help! The allen screw that secures my G36 selector in place was loose and it fell out unexpectedly. I found the little spring that's underneath the selector but there seems to be a missing bearing ball, cuz now my selector doesn't make that crisp click sound anymore.

I looked on my carpet for that missing part but I couldn't find it. So now I don't have the click sound. Anyone could help me with a solution to this? I tried ebay and hardware stores to find a tiny ball bearing but they're all too big. The ball appears to be 2mm in diameter, so is there anything I can scavange this part from?

Did you try a craft store like Micheals?

I searched their site but nothing came up for ball bearing

I'd try a
- hobby shop because they use thrust bearings.

-bicycle shop because in the rear sprokets on older bikes especially there are tiny bearings I sometime had to reassemble. Ask mechanic if he has an extra. My boss would order extras and I always had them in a tray on my workbench.

-Dollar store.

-hardware store.

-maybe you have a old computer fan that has ball bearing inside.

-check your household items that might contain a bearing hmm lighter, some fancy pens, cheap keychain but it is not really a ball bearing but might work as well eg:

I just grabed that image off the internet :). It was not the item that I wanted to draw attention to (sorry for any confusion), but the chain has tiny "bearings". The Op might have that cheap chain kicking around the house in a drawer. The chain itself is worth less than 10 cents. Also dragonfruit did you run a magnet through the carpet?

yup, but to no avail XD

I have the same problem. I ordered a M4 selector switch and I'm going to use the ball and/or spring from that.
