it's been almost an month i try to get some one in my city to vertify my age but no one replys(2 contacts in ottawa) and i sent a mail to GM here but still no reply! i live in ottawa and i am 26 ! can anyone help me to get some one to contact me so i can be able to vertify my age?:banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

I have the same problem, but here in Vancouver.
I've messaged all the reps but they have not responded to my PM.

They volunteer their time to do this. It's not a job to them, they don't get paid. If they have life that gets in the way of them getting to you, then life will get in the way and come first.

Head to a game, that's the best place to get verified.

ASC doesn't list you as an age verifier. Is their page out of date then?

Cant get an AEG in canada now with out being age verified.

I guess you can waste your time and gas and drive to a game with no gun and have someone probably younger than you ID you.

Hurray fireman, my eyes are finally opened. On behalf of all Canadian airsofters, we admit that age verification is totally un-awesome, and airsoft is dead. Thank you, I now have hope to carry on with a normal life. We bow to you, to were right all along.

What do you think you know, smart guy? Honestly, if you don't have the patience to get age-verified and be understanding of its necessity in our country, you don't have the patience to play airsoft. Go play paintball and save us your whining.

It scares me to see that you guys are deemed "age verified" and allowed to buy an AEG. I feel like a the short bus dropped off a load at the ASC board ....but this is nothing new eh boys? Its sort of on going piss fest here.

The age-verification is done by volunteers who don't necessarily live on these forums. The system isn't perfect, that's for sure. It can be slow, but it does work. And its intended purpose is not to be able to get someone a gun. It's to make sure that kids don't get their hands on guns. And in that respect, it works. It's unfortunate that the list of verifiers is out of date and that response times are slow. It can be quite frustrating for sure

I hate to bust the news to you, but ASC is the ONLY reason you can still get a non-clear gun in Canada unless you stumble into a private deal with some random person. ASC is not responsible for the sales. They just make sure that kids can't get into the system, and having a record of who is who helps cut down on fraud. If you have alternatives, then by all means, use them. But right now, this is the only game in town. Pardon me, the only game in the COUNTRY.
