Some nOOb questions about Border Wars 2009

Hi guys, i have the most nOOb question ever. How do i sign up for it? I honestly don't know lol. Also, if I showed up to it with something like an Aftermath Broxa as my main rifle, would I be laughed off of the field?

You could show up with a straw and a hand full of bbs if you thought you could get kills.

There are ammunition restrictions, so I don't believe a box fed straw will be allowed at the field unless it was a specific straw, like a light machine straw with a bipod.

Are you striving to be laughed off the field? Because it really sounds like you are. Tha majority of players will be kind and respectable in regards to whatever you show up with. At worst they will atleast be kind enough to not laugh at you to your face.

As for ammo rules you may wish to see the rules for border wars in the thread on this website or contact the host if have questions that are unclear.

Before you ask another question please take the time to think if it is or if it is not a legitimate question.

one, your gun will have to be at least painted black. You need proper gear, and no you cannot use a 5000 round electric winding mag. Boarder Wars is a strict MILITARY SIMULATION. If you show up with a clear gun you're not gonna be laughed off the field, you will be frowned upon and escorted off the property with no words spoken.

Thenooblord January 22nd, 2009 11:34

i was pretty sure that black painted guns are illegal in Canada.
and no, im not TRYING to get laughed off, im just on a tight budget so im trying to see what i can get away with.

Selling pure black guns is against the law, painting it black isn't.

Also, you need to be 18+ to play in boarder wars

The Saint January 22nd, 2009 11:39

Painting it black is against the law, too. But it's one of them laws that is seldom enforced unless you also do something illegal with the gun.

Thenooblord January 22nd, 2009 11:59

OK, and im gunna get age verified at some point in the next few weeks.
anybody have a link to a list of stuff i should bring?

The Saint January 22nd, 2009 12:05

2 pieces of ID, at least one of which is a government-issued photo ID (i.e. driver's licence). A list of questions you'd like to ask about airsoft.

i dont think this is the game you want to be playing on a tight budget, not only will you most likely brake the 90$ POS during the game, you will also need some gear since this is a milsim. airsoft is not a cheap sport, and getting bargin bin guns will get you the same amount of use as burning your cash. the best thing to do is save up some cash and get a good starter gun. sure you can bring a 20$ springer to game, but why would you want to bring the worst gun you can find to one of the biggest milsims in the country? imho save up and get a starter gun, cyma aks go for around 320 here in canada and are all metal. that you most certinly could take to a game and know it would last you.
