:-? WTF..........have i been gone for that long from the airsoft world?!?! It makes about 2 maybe 3 years.....the guns are clear now and look like toys....HOLY what happened!?!? Im honestly in shock............:(wow......i would like a litle explaination of when and why all this change.....could we still buy aisoft guns like we could of 4 years ago......oh yaeh and why can't i acces the for sale sections?!?!

not sure why it changed so fast but you need to get age verified to go to sale section

need to be age verified to access the all black guns section. direction on how are in the FAQ.

And it's just that airsoft has become more legal now with the clear lowers. (all black in canada is technically illegal)

So My TM P90 and My Sr-16 are tchnically illegal?!?! Are we still able to take em to games and things like that?!?!

They're always been "technically illegal", the laws have not changed, the gun manufacturers just got "smart".

If you actually go to a game, most guns will be regular TM/JG/Systema, and maybe 2 - 3 will be the clear guns which have been painted. At least, that has been my experience.

It's been illegal to buy and sell replica guns (in this case those without clear receivers) since 1998 (maybe 99, not 100%) and in the last year or two, the government has been enforcing the laws a little more. You can still use your guns, we all do, it's just harder to find non-clear guns (I painted the one i got and you can't tell the difference compared to my older all black gun).

Don't forget to include the Sky is Falling of 2005 of the Mass Retailers and the fall of Peter Kang was the biggest reason things have gone underground but not dead thats for sure

Technically, there's also nothing on the books that defines the clear receivers as "legal"; they're just currently being tolerated by CBSA (except in Quebec).

Technically, some black receivers are still okay.

So technically, you're spreading disinformation. Technically.



Don't panic. They aren't any less legal than they were 2-3 years ago.

You can still take them to games. You'll see they're still in classifieds. Some retailers still carry them. But cheap and easy clear guns have flooded the market.

Quebec has problems with clear guns? I hadn't heard that. What is their problem exactly?

Quebec's CFO has always been pretty anti-airsoft AFAIK, and I heard from one source I trust that CBSA in Quebec deny importation of clear receivers on account that "you can just paint them black."

Either way, there's nothing in Canadian Law that addresses clear receivers any more specifically than black receivers; the fact they're allowed in now in some places is simply a matter of interpretation by CBSA and there's no guaranty the policy won't change at some point.
