Here's a link to an event that was held in Estonia last month. It clearly states 18+ with the usual parental permission for 16 and 17 year old players.
Secondly, I believe that the 18+ rule has more to do with one's own self-accountability in front of the eyes of the law than anything else. Sure, 13 year olds play airsoft (even in Canada) and sure I can drive with my feet. But are they good ideas? Probably not.
That immature player / asshole player stuff doesn't have so much to do with one's age. Assholedom knows know age limit. However, my guess is that if your of age to legally have a beer in this country I doubt you want to go to a field with a bunch of kids that needed their mom's permission to play no matter how mature they might be.
Firing bb's at the 5' 2" crowd just doesn't do it for me. It's not why I got into this game.
Lastly, the mixing of unaccompanied minors with adults in a social / leisure gathering is a terrible idea. I am a parent and the thought of that just makes me shake my head.
PS....And to get back on topic, G & G can make an M1 Garand AEG.
