The hop up is adjusted so that it curves as high as possible, otherwise the bbs drop too soon. And I'm not 100% sure if the hop up is installed perfectly as I did have some trouble with it. It does raise and lower but I don't know if it works exactly as it should? But I guess one thing I could try is cleaning it with that oil, though it's a brand new barrel.
