I have been using the included silicon oil with the adapter, refilling every 8 fills. I just tested the tank, and it doesn't appear to be deformed. The manual stated that "The crushed O-ring should rub on the probe", yet there does not appear to be any resistance when I insert the test probe into the tank. There is, however, rubber marks around the seal on the tank.

Is there anything on the tank/adapter I should be looking explicitly looking out for?
