Been thinking about trying XT-60 as well. Easier to solder and easier to connect in a hurry. Also, easier to find guaranteed super-duper-genuinely-genuine XT-60 connectors for cheap, whereas with Deans it's like a galaxy of confusion.
To the OP:
Seriously take the above advice and buy some 7.4V LiPos from hobbyking.com instead. They will for sure have ones that will fit in a PEQ. Get your PEQ first and figure out the max dimensions you can put in there.. A LiPo will be far lighter than the alternatives and pack a way nicer punch. Battery PEQs already add so much weight, it's better to go with the battery technology that offers the most bang per weight. You won't be disappointed.
