Spend the money on actual Sordins, it is a large chunk of change, but worth it for the clarity of comms, quality of sound amplification, and the knowledge that the comms gear will work...always. One of the locals went the discount way. he now has a $200 set of sordins that cannot transmit what-so-ever.
I will also vouch for Steve at SRS Tactical, super good service and got me set up right the first time.
