Update: CYMA mid cap Almost there...
I know its been a while, but I've finally got around to working on this again. I pulled the mag interior out of the metal shell and had a good look at how exactly it needs to sit in there to feed well.
I found, like others that have tried this, that the CYMA mag needs to sit a little further back, about 1-2mm, and the back needs to come up about double that.
I solved the front end issue easily enough, at least temporarily, by slipping a piece of zip tie in behind the metal lip on end. That seems to have given it the rearward adjustment it needed.
As for the back end, I realized that the catch on the magazine on the CYMA is about 5mm or so too high and as a result the mag needs a little lift to feed well. If I rock it back and up it feeds perfect. Since the mag catch is made of plastic and is part of the interior, Im thinking of using an epoxy resin or something similar to build it up that extra 5mm. I figure if I give the good news with some good quality epoxy then I can file it down to where I need it.
Stay tuned!
