I tried it with a fake J-arm and it's not so good. It doesn't really hold the NVG in the right spot. It sorta almost works enough to get your hopes up and then it just doesn't.
Don't know if the real one is better. It just seemed like the geometry of where the threads on the unit are vs. how the arm sits in the mount are too far off spec.
