Man... I don't even know why people still ask this without looking around first.

I haven't heard of anyone cracking a TM slide on propane in SO LONG.

Nobody I know has ever done it, and the only slide I've ever actually seen crack was an ALUMINUM slide on an upgraded western arms gun (!!! - go figure)

I claim it's a myth. (keep reading before you get all hyperactive )

While it will put more wear on your gun, and the lifespan will decrease, I still haven't heard anyone provide evidence that the decrease is notable enough to make the excellent performance provided by propane not worthwhile

(this is referring to TM guns. I wouldn't use propane in a stock WA pistol for too long...)
