Spring is more consistant and reliable. And you can use it in any weather. Upgrading it will be costly, sometimes almost as much as what you paid for the gun in the first place.

The gas version can't do any of that, but will be easier to regulate the power, either by adjustment means, or using different gases (duster or propane). And you won't have to spend nearly as much on upgrades.
