Ok, just to clearify things...the CF does use the plastic to make "the trench" has it is called, but not the Armoured Corps, they use black berets with no trench. I know this from experience, since I wear the green beret of infantry man, RCR, and used to wear the black beret of armoured, Ontario Regiment(RCAC)
