Kitkiller, please understand that many of the users here on ASC have come across countless minors who, from time to time have been rather immature.
There is little sound reason for any seasoned airsoft player on this board to be hostile towards you just because you are 18, but please understand our sentiments and concerns as an airsoft community.
There are enough rules on the sport as it is in this country, and acquiring a rifle is becoming more and more difficult due to the ambiguous Canadian laws.
The last thing we need is for minors to treat them like toys and cause accidents/incidents which will then lead to more restrictions on our already fragile sport. Don't misunderstand me, I am not saying you are immature - just understand where we're coming from.
The fact is simple in Canada, and I'll reiterate it. Airsoft is not generally not sold to those under 18 in Canada. If you attempt to order a rifle from abroad, or from the US, be very aware that you may very likely lose your rifle and have it destroyed by Canadian customs.
