Alright so check this...
I did some more research and found a nifty website that is dedicated to AK freaks and has tons of info.
Basically it talks about all the mounting plates and I found this interesting :
the website says this:
This is a direct copy CNC-produced replica of the early Soviet AK-74 rail of the 1973-78 era. This design was also used on the RPK-74 for it's entire production run. It has AKM rivet spacing, so it will fit any AKM rifle (or rifles using the AKM style rear trunnion such as the Romanian AK-74). It has a 4.5mm rear rivet hole size and is supplied in a media blasted matte black oxide finish. It can be bought individually, or in kit form if you need the correct rivets and detailed illustrated instructions for assembly to your rifle.
It has total compatibility with all Russian based AK optics and night vision devices. Turn your RPK-74 into an RPK-74N!
I'm not 100% sure but im pretty damn sure that is the exact plate on the side of the G&G RK104. Il try and find pictures to compare.
But if it is, that means it can take both SVD and AK scopes.
EDIT

Here, theres a CYMA-105 (basically a rk104 with folding stock) with the same plate as in the picture above. The user who has the rk104 on this forum could help comfirm this, but yeah this is pretty much proof that RK104's can take SVD scopes.
Even the guy in the review for the CYMA said that his gun's plate could take both, but he opted for a Kobra.
Well, I guess that settles it.
