I don't know if this will help at all, but I've used a TM M4, it seemed to kind of wind down and not shoot, almost like it was jamming, while I was in a game.
It turns out that I was pulling the trigger too hard because I was under pressure, check to see if it works consistently when you lightly pull the trigger. Hopefully this is your issue as opposed to something more costly.
