At the top end.. say 5000.. that would mean if you ran 10 games in a season got a minimum of 25 players per game you would just cover your insurance costs.. if you charged $25 per person per game.

You can run a private field.. with limited exposure to loss.. but if you choose to not insure the risk is substantial..

As a young person... it would suck to have a multi million $ judgement against you ( or even a few hundred thousand) due to the injury of a participant. It would ruin your future

Sure its not that likely to occur... but it does happen.
