Goggles.

Hey there fella's, I'm looking to get some new goggles. I've searched high and low, and so far the only contestant I have are the ESS Land Striker goggles. I was really hoping for something from Spy, but as far as I can tell they don't make anything with ballistic lenses. I don't need a face mask, so long as they are goggles and not glasses. Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated, I mean ANYTHING is better than JT "airsoft" goggles. THEY'RE JUST THE WORST.

Picture is my current setup for reference, and I grant you all permission to laugh at my elbow pads on my knees.

I have the ESS goggles from VA and they work dope.. Haven't had any problem with them.. They have the anti fog fan in them... Those new ones on Airsoftparts with the mesh lenses look pretty dope too..

When playing inside, I use issued ESS Land Ops.

Was cheap, works like a charm. Do not use ESS Anti-Fog. Don't know why, but it ate thru the plastic of my clear lense.

Seeing that you only get one pair of eyes (pun absolutely intended), I would go with the fan. Some fields will not let you use a mesh type of goggle due to the ability for any type of bb to break on impact and for fragments to go in your eye. I heard bio bb's are the worst for this, and since you're not going to know what people are going to be using on the field I would stick to full lens protection and a fan installed, or the ones with a fan built in.

Just my 2 cents.

The best anti fog option is mesh, because it literally cannot fog.

It's definitely not the best eye protection method though, which is primary here and paramount.

Most fields won't even allow ESS goggles. They HAVE to be paintball goggles. Don't necessarily have to have the mask attached but you need the goggle to be paintball rated.

Given that ESS Goggles stop .22LR and 12/20 gauge I really don't know where you got that, never had any problem in the region with regular goggles... and never heard of "paintball rated" in fact.

In Southern Ontario, paintball fields require paintball approved goggles for insurance purposes. Anything else (even if it's higher rated) is not allowed.

I can do a CTRL+ATL+DEL on your gun ! Gun doc in Montreal on AEG, GBB, GBBR and Bolt rifle (gaz and spring) Heavy custom builder (including painting)
