Battery Question

Hi there. I need a mini battery, and am wondering what size cells are required. It'll be a 8.4V, so 7 cells arranged like so ===|. Standard mini battery I think. Anywho, what size cells are in a regular mini battery? A, AA, 2/3A, 4/5A? I have absolutely NO knowledge about cells so help would be appreciated.

2/3A. There's some excellent battery FAQs on the forums here, not sure if they cover that specific question though. Also, check out http://www.batteryuniversity.com/ when you've got some time to kill, it's really useful knowing the inner-workings of such a crucial part of an AEG. Plus, you won't have to rely on the frequently-incorrect advice, heresy and old wives' tales that deluge this forum.

Hmm. That's for the entire pack eh? These are 2/3A but they seem a little big. I calculated 7.44 inch length in ===| configuration. Help?

The "ELITE1500A"

?? I think you calculated wrong. The measurement of 4.05 x 1.32 x 0.66 came from the exact same pack in ===] config.

see here http://www.cheapbatterypacks.com/mai...r=15&model=120

because length= 1.13 X 3 + 0.66 = 4.05 inch.

You dont just go 1.13X 7 packs. I think a bit of common sense helps here

Hmm. Thanks for that recalculation. I think I was thinking 4x 1.13 + 1x 0.66, which makes 9 cells, not 7!
