Okie, So with what you want said.
Here is an affordable setup. Hurricane High Speed Gears ($65-80 IIRC), TM EG1000 Motor ($20-30 on the forum), Metal Bushings ($20-25 @ Any Retailer, Try Tru Or Illusion) & 2 or 3 9.6v 1100 Or 1500mah Stick Batteries. (Seen Them Go For About $35 Each On The Forum) & Whatever Spring You Want ($20-$25). That there will give you a low cost CQB monster. All ya gotta do is locate magazines after that. I'd suggest G&P Midcaps. High capacity without having to wind. You'll be good to go then. |

![]() I thought TM guns took 8.4 volt batteries. Can you add a 9.6 Volt battery with no modification and realize a performence boost? |

If your goona add a 9.6v you better swap in a eg1000 in there.... I dont know how well a 800 will handle on a 9.6v

A 9.6V battery will require a decent amount of modification. You'd almost definitely need a Dremel, or at least a lot of sandpaper and time. Again, I strongly recommend an 1100mAh battery made out of GP cells. A teammate had one in his MP5K upgraded with an SP100, and it lasted over 2000 rounds. That battery, in combination with an Eagle Force motor, will give you the MOST noticeable enhancements to your gun, for the smallest cost.
Both of those upgrades will help your ROF, but your FPS will stay the same. I recommend playing with a stock gun for at least some time... it will definitely make you a better player than coming in with an upgraded gun.

It arrived this morning (thanks Tru!) but it may be another week before I'm able to find someone with a battery and charger. Cruel, cruel fate. |

Speaking of MP5s would a tightbore M4A1 barrel work in an SD5 if I cut it down a bit?

Speaking of MP5k's, I just had a K go down today with a cracked gearbox. First time I've seen a Ver3 gearbox crack from +10,000 rounds.
