Airsoft guns, especially a well tuned airsoft gun firing heavy ammo, will outrange a paintball gun anyday.

A lot of paintballers are under the impression that airsoft guns don't have the range because the projectile is smaller. I've never once seen any paintballer make a hit 250 feet away. Or 200. Or maybe even 150 without praying real hard. Any competant AEG has a decent chance of hitting someone 150 feet away.

Airsoft guns far out range paintball guns. A paintball tournament field is 175 feet long (the league I played) and to shoot end to end was like throwing a hail mary football pass. That was shooting 300fps.

Yup.. one of the things I somewhat dislike about playing on a single paintball field (at Wasaga we sometimes commandeer a few adjacent ones) is the fact that everyone can easily range clear across the field. It's like playing CQB with hot guns lol.

Not to mention paintball guns have horrible accuracy.

I went out and decided to play some paintball with a few friends, after a year of playing airsoft. I was shocked and appaled at how short range and horribly inaccurate paintball guns were.

I LOLed when I found out what paintballers do to get good range/accuracy. In airsoft we buy a new $50-$100 right bore inner right? well piantballers get fiberglass plastic polymer barrels with special holes cut in them at exact spots... and those are like $500 and least (i've heard of the good ones being $2000 but that seems too stupid even for a piantballer to waste money on)

What's even funnier is that a paintball gun upgraded to the tits still won't be as accurate as an airsoft gun.

paintball guns theoretically can be as accurate as airsoft. the problem lies with the paint balls themselves. Several problems exist such as size and the fact that they deform when shot. Also if there is any air inside, it won't be in the same place once spinning and will be one of the causes for reduced power and accuracy.

i still paintball, but it is no where near as much fun as airsoft. maybe that is why i have like 4x more invested in airsoft than i do in paintball?

Thats probably because even the paintball companies realize how bad their products are, and don't charge much for them :P
