KSC Glock 23f problems
just got her in the mail today and fired it up. It has two problems
1.Horrible gas effeicency 2. Slide doesn't always lock back when empty. Now it has a metal slide and i greased up the rails. The pistol apparently does not have much use so it shouldn't be wear and tear. Any ideas folks? |

Check the nozzle, piston head and rocket valve for any damage.

Regarding the lack of locking back, on the side of the slide lock lever there is a small triangle peice of metal attached, take a pair of pliers and gently bend it DOWN a little bit, like half a millimeter or so (it's stamped steel, so it won't snap easy). That's the lifter and will make the slide lock back every time. I had to do it a couple times to various G19s I had, worked every time.
Gas efficiency, how many rounds per full gas fill? Normal should be about 1.5-2 mags worth, an issue is present when it's less than a full mag. And, how many mags did you get? If the gas effiency is enough to not make the slide travel back enough, this could be the issue you are having with the slide release too. Regarding disassembly, do you mean to be able to reduce to a pile of frustrating peices? Or how to take the slide off? BTW, what type of grease was used? Thin or thick? less then one mags worth of shots.
I can get the slide off after that well I don't want to take apart anything that i'm not suppose to. The grease I used is thin was thinking of useing thicker. |

Ya, don't take it apart further than taking the slide off.
What conditions were you using the gun in? Inside/outside? Temp? Am sure you know where I'm going with this, eh numpty? ![]() |

lol at the numpty reference
inside my room I stride semi and full auto and waited for the mag to warm up between refilling it |

Figured you'd get that.
![]() I guess you only got one mag with it, eh? And did the usual fill upside down til full and spraying. Propane, duster? Etc, etc. This isn't your first GBB either, right? BTW, full auto causes rapid cool off, and will make gas efficiency about half of what semi will do if you fire a few shots, wait 10 seconds or more, fire a few more, wait, etc. |

my first but my buddy who lives down the hall has experience.
The mag was spewing and slow shooting was better but not much still not a full mag |

What's the lube situation for oil on the internals, like around the hammer area and such?

it has a light coat and the propane adaptor had silicone oil added before filling the mag

I assume your propane tank is full? Otherwise if it's nearly empty it might not deliver as much propane a new tank should.
