Inner Barrel Wobble
In my gun (G&G M4), the inner barrel is held in place by the hop-up and floats inside the outer barrel. One thing I've noticed watching videos is that when firing full auto, the BBs fly everywhere even when the gun is resting. Could this be due to the piston hitting the cylinder head, causing forward recoil and making the inner barrel wobble up and down? Could the gun benefit from a bit of tape between the inner barrel and the outer barrel or would that make the problem worse?

Yes. I have this done on my scar. I would even put another loop closer to the tip of the gun as well.

If you're really serious you can wrap tape evenly around the entire barrel.

Yup, go for it. I've done the same for inner barrels on my KSC Glocks, massive improvement in accuracy and consistancy, way better than the tightbores did.

Even when completely stabilized, airsoft doesn't shoot real bullets. It's always going to be a random pattern of BB's (fairly accurate, but still not a laser beam).

Barrel stabilization helps a lot, it's a good idea to wrap it in teflon.

I had to stablize H33t's SS M4 the same way.
